Bob Fera was born in Buffalo, NY. He met his wife in kindergarten at St. Aloysius grammar school. Soon they were spending time together as members of the parish’s Junior Legion of Mary. By the age of 18, they were married and faced the challenges of early parenthood. By the grace of God and a supportive family, they have been blessed with editions of many more children and are currently expecting their twelfth child.

Bob’s musical ventures started at an early age with various church choirs and folk groups. His love for the music in the early Glory and Praise editions fueled his desire to serve the parish community with music. With his close friends Tim, Mark and Tom Noonan, and Jason Swedene, music was blossoming in his life. Soon they began writing their own songs in the form of psalms, and acclamations. It was during this time that Bob’s secular music career was blossoming as well. With the release of two albums over the span of ten years, Bob spent many years playing clubs and various halls in several locations around Buffalo and stretching out as far as Los Angeles. (Bob Fera Band) In 2001 Bob was asked to release a Catholic album on the Quiet waters label. He did not have to venture too far to find a great crop of musicians to give him a hand. With the editions of John Honan, Eric Apen, and Dan Scheider the album did very well. "Looking Down Your Path" opened the door for Bob to write many new songs about his journey of faith, and life experiences. Bob was asked to perform on EWTN’s Backstage program, and soon found himself sharing the stage with Heartbeat record’s icon Dana, Howie D. from the Back Street Boys, Danielle Rose and Tony Melendez (to name a few) at the 2004 Unity awards ceremony. Since then he has also shared the stage with Fr. Benedict Groeschell , Raymond Arroyo, Christopher West, and many other great Catholic musicians and speakers, providing the music for several conferences and conventions.
